Loving Big

Last week my friend’s mother passed away.  Although it has been a very difficult time of grief and loss for her, my friend continues to say with a joyful heart, “Mom loved big!” She described her mother as a woman of “every” faith whose arms were big enough to hold whoever came to them. It is a thought provoking tribute that has had me pondering who I have loved big in my own life and where there is room for more? In these days leading up to Valentine’s Day, I challenge you to love someone big! How can you help a small business struggling to stay open during COVID? What encouragement might you give a child frustrated by online school and desperate to hang out with friends? Where is love missing that you could fill the void? If “Love Big” was a national holiday, how would you spend your time?
